The FIEL Foundation (Fundacion Infantil Educativa Laboriosa)

We are a non-profit organization whose goal is to serve underprivileged children in the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Foundation FIEL operates a school in the heart of the city that serves over 200 children by providing them with caring teachers, curriculum for instruction, and school supplies with hopes to initiate a free breakfast program in the near future.

Many of the children that attend FIEL have been abandoned or displaced through circumstances beyond their control. Many are from single-parent families or families that have relocated from Haiti due to the extreme poverty facing that country. The funds collected for the school will be utilized for teacher salaries, purchasing school supplies the children need, including curriculum plus teaching materials. Furthermore, the donations will ensure the school building is well maintained.

We are currently seeking sponsors for the next school year. The cost for a child to attend school for an entire year is $360.00. Please consider sponsoring a child for an entire year. However, if you cannot pay for an entire year, you can make monthly installments. If you do not wish to sponsor a child please consider donating any amount for this project. Your donation is tax deductible as we hold a 501C3 non-profit status. When you help a child you will receive a photo and profile of the child you will be sponsoring.
